Instagram officially announced the launch of New Instagram Business Tools. Just like Facebook – Instagram’s parent company –, the social network has been a very significant tool for enterprises that lends itself to brand exposure, looking for new followers, conversations with potential customers and being discovered by partners and retailers.
Instagram engaged with hundreds of businesses and listened to them to determine what services were still underserved at the moment. Three key needs became clear: the business owners wanted better ways to make their profile stand out, get insights to understand their prospects and customers, and a way to acquire more customers.
Let’s take a look at how the company meets these needs with their new business features:
Creating a business profile – the Instagram equivalent for a Facebook Brand Page – will be free for everyone who wants to be recognized as a business on Instagram. The profiles offer a variety of useful features including a contact button that allows you to choose how you want the people to communicate with you (call, text, e-mail), access to maps and directions and classify your business.
With insights, company owners will be able to identify the demographics of their target audience (gender, age, location…) and track the posts that are performing better than others (top posts, reach, impressions, engagement…). Knowing your target audience behaviour will lead to more relevant content.
The ability to promote well-performing photos quickly into a mobile ad helps to connect with even more customers. Adding an action button to the picture and selecting a target audience or using Instagram’s suggestions based on the audience and budget will promote the post as long as you want encouraging people to take action.
Business profiles will be introduced in the U.S.A., Australia, and New Zealand during the next moths, and will reach all regions worldwide by the end of the year.
We are already excited!
